seymour::dancecollective is group of diverse movement artists brought together under the direction of Chafin Seymour. Utilizing a distinct sense of collaborative community derived from hip hop and DJ cultures we create live performance that boldly and intentionally crosses boundaries, aesthetic and cultural, to provoke and provide dialogue amongst our audience.

Since 2012, we have presented original work throughout NYC and nationally at venues such as Center for Performance Research (CPR), Triskelion Arts, Dixon Place, Livestream Public, Gibney Dance, The Current Sessions, New York Live Arts, Movement Research at Judson Church, The Ohio Dance Festival and The American Dance Festival among others. The collective works on a project-to-project basis with a rotating roster of curated artists.
